    Default croplock

In the "real" world armies have been known to destroy a village, town, city they own to prevent an invader from conquering it, this strategical ploy is sometimes spoken of as 'destroying a town to save it" something like the idea armies have to kill for peace. Getting back to Travian villages destroying just "useless buildings" is a amateur ploy, if you are so crop locked you destroy whatever buildings you need to reverse the crop lock.

But you need to leave the warehouse, granary, mill(if any) and possibly market

How would destroy the buidings if you don't have a level 10 main building?

To my understanding crop lock is:
    Destroying the following:
    Main building
    Market place
    Granary
    Crop fields
    Mill
    Bakery

If this bothers you then just use "proper croplock" - how it should be done. Thing is many people say croplock without being completely croplocked, but only partially. At any rate if it's a complete croplock and it's your only village without anyone to help you out then you're basically screwed. Even if the croplock is not complete, the attacker will raid you forever and it won't be a problem to keep knocking down whatever recovery you may attempt. More likely you'll end up in endgame still trying to overcome the croplock

Without main building, useless buildings cannot be demolished, so its a silly argument imo...

If you cannot get help and options are all gone ,offer the person farming you a deal, he sends you crop to rebuild and you dont delete, when you rebuild and settle away he gets to farm 100% of the village thats dead...more often than not he wil delete before you anyway as agressive people like that who croplock little guys without alliances or friends tend to die quite quickly around proper good players.

With this scenario, I agree, most likely you should hit the delete button.

Never said useless bldgs. any bldg. is my though, of course you would not want to further damage the MB or granary, though even the granary could be brought down to the level of the crop production.
