Default WILD Server Observer Month 1

    Hello all,

Wildings know that we make a regular attempt to review and assess each server we play on, and share these general statistics observations and opinions.
    For everyone else:
our stats are accurate as of posting, check yourself.
all opinions are my own and do not necessarily reflect those of the WILD at large
    Biased, probably. Accurate, definitely.

    NorthEast: WILD Country
    WILD
    5 wings: W|BLZRD, W|Fire, W|THNDR, W|CYCLN, W|Hold
    total members: 255
    Average Player pop: 813

    Map:

    Overview:
WILD are the undisputed masters of the NE. We are in possession of the top 4 alliances on the server, and the largest players. WILD comprise roughly half the top 10, but we are not top heavy. Further scrutiny shows WILD players also comprise roughly half of the top 100, indicating that the quality of WILD players is evenly distributed. Obviously this puts us in a good position to pursue any future plans in the knowledge that the player base is active, knowledgeable, and for the most part extremely experienced. This is not a fluke or lucky, as the WILD player base if comprised of a deep stock of veterans from any of 4 different winning WILD servers.

BA: Balkan Alliance / Savez Banovanih
    4 wings: BA, BA+, BA++, BA SAW
    total members: 178
    Average Player pop: 532

    Map:

    Overview:
BA are vets from server 4 who came with a core after a successful server. They seem to have an active and experienced leadership core. Unfortunately for them they spawned in the same quad as the WILD and have been put somewhat in the shade, resulting in poorer than hoped for recruiting and extremely poor leftover choices for capital croppers. Recognizing the problem BA leadership has initiated a southern exodus, encouraging their players to migrate to the SE for better settlement choices and to avoid conflict with the much stronger WILD. The map bears this out... as many of their SE villages are new settlements and not new SE recruitment. The server is still early and the alliance clearly in flux, but at some point leaders in BA will need to decide if they are a 2 quad alliance, with no strong base in either and calling neither truly home, or will they ultimately decide if they are just a NE or SE alliance. Will they continue their migration to the relatively open field in the SE or keep their head in the lion's mouth in the NE?

    NORTHWEST: Axis Power
    Axis: Zeus
    wings: AxiS, AxiS W, AxiS N, AxiS S, AxiS-T2, AxiS™2, AxiS™3
    total members: 212
    Average Player pop: 574

    Map:

    Overview:
Axis is formed by a leadership core and player base of Persian gamers. WILD is not unfamiliar with this team and these players as we played against a similar team called Classic on s1, that shared many of the players and leaders of Axis. Many of that team threw in the towel mid-server and went on to sooth their pride on other servers. They have an impressive stable of players but also a reputation for not having much respect for the rules and frequent smacks with the ban hammer. MHs will have their eyes on these guys and when funny things start happening in the silver market places you will likely see that Axis is the source. Objectively, we do not see them as too much of a threat, since teams that rely on cheating at their core are usually weak in everything else that requires success in travian, such as teamwork, defense and actual warcraft. Simming up tons of zombie accounts and loads of BS silver, is the easy part.... knowing how to use and defend them is a bit harder.

    SouthWEST: IM the returning champions
    IM: Immortals
    6 wings: IM-A, IM-B, IM-E, IM-TSR, IM-D, IM-C
    total members: 295
    Average Player pop: 636

    Map:

    Overview:
IM are the resident champions. They have won s5 the last 3 rounds and are convinced of their supremacy, judging by their early server banter and claiming that their success on servers 4 and 5 was proof of their excellence. It is unclear the level of competition they faced on those servers but our intelligence has warned us that IM are very competitive and will be willing to do anything for the win, be it as cowardly as confedding the entire server if they think it necessary, or darker forms of sabotage. We are well aware of the home field advantage winning a server 3 times provides and the rich opportunities for planting saboteurs in other quads. We can't be sure that we will be able to effectively screen all these attempts although we have already spotted several odd ducks in the NE that are likely IM spies or plants. Although they may not measure up in a clean one to one comparison to WILD, we fully expect IM to find some under the table means of evening the scores. We look forward to a hard and cleanly fought server. IM, by virtue of their long streak of success, is one of only a handful of teams that can be considered elite in modern travian. This is one of the main reasons WILD has come to s5, to test them and to test ourselves against one of the few worthy measuring sticks.

    SouthEaST: EXP - the newcomers
    EXP: Explosive Players
    5 wings: EXP A, EXP B, EXP C, EXP D, EXP E
    total members: 212
    Average Player pop: 527

    Map:

    Overview:
Not much to say about EXP other than they are a server created meta in the SE. The SE looks to be the action quad at least early in the server with no clear cut center of power. EXP will be vying with PANTHEON for supremacy, and it is unclear now whether the SE will be decided by the sword or by the word. PANTHEON are returning from another consecutive loss to IM, but have not been able to parlay this into undisputed dominion of the SE, where early and aggressive recruiting has made EXP a player not to be ignored. The chaos in the SE has even opened the door for the aforementioned exodus and relocation of BA, who were able to find choice unclaimed croppers in the SE after WILD took most everything worth taking in the NE. I expect a 3 way dance for dominance in the SE, once BA is reckoned with. The heavy lean into the NE may also lead to confrontation with WILD in the future.

SouthEaST and SOUTHWEST : PANTHEON & Titans - Southern Comfort
    8 wings: PANTHEON, PANTH 1, PANTH2, PANTH A, Titans, Titans A, Titans-B, P.G.
    total members: 211
    Average Player pop: 516

    Map:

    Overview:
Pantheon is the perpetual runner-up to IM and has lost to them each of the last 3 s5 rounds. They either have a never say die attitude or just don't know when to recognize when they are beat. In any event they have come with 2 goals, first to win, and second to be a thorn in IM's side. To that end, they have already recruited and allied Titans, who are mainly located in the SW, in direct competition with IM. While Pantheon has been focused on IM, perhaps too much, at home they have allowed EXP to grow and thrive alongside them. This may be by design if they later plan to ally EXP as well. We will continue to watch with interest.

    Excellent work DF!

A few friends and I are on the NE/SE border and have got quite a few BA capitals just below us, looks like we are going to have some fun times with them once armies start moving around.

Thanks DF for effort invested to start this topic.

Can't say it is unusual to see Wild having accounts that are developing at faster pace then opponents in average. We seen that before, we are looking at that now. Happy that is still the case... it simply shows team is taking good care of Wild community, and maintain it constantly as time pass.

As for other quads... well for me NW quad looks hmm... probably DF described it good, don't expect too much from them in the end...

As for SE, it can be either disaster where quad ends up in ruins with no one to prevail in the end from one side, or from the other side one team might prevail through some in quad fights, and in that way usually at minimum decent team comes out ready to do some cross quad fighting. Ofc all might end up somewhere in middle... I certainly do hope for that quad to create some good team in the end through fighting, for the sake of good competition on server. Would rather destroy them in cross quad then looking them destroy themselves.

And as for IM, well personally don't know much about them... guess we will see how coordinated are they. I do know some people that are playing for them now, so expect them to be good competition. Will they have bit harder time in terms of diplomacy? If you would trust what is being written on forum, you would get impression Axis really don't like them... and that Panatheon is eager to see them fail this round. Also it is said they made some offers to BA which they refused...

But yea... saying all of this above... things are never as they might seem on first glance... let's see how things develop further. Still need some time to pass to see how actually organizational teams are organized, and that's THE thing that matters most.

I am really dissappointed that you have done yourself a disservice by compromising this very well written and thorough analysis of the server with propaganda about IM. As a 3x IM veteran I can tell you IM has never engaged in any form or type of account sabotage. In fact we are the usual victims of this type of behavior by certain members of Pantheon or the clans once led by a player known on the server as Grufffyn. It is very disingenuous to make these sort of allegations and perpetuate this sort of information because it really calls into question a player or group of players character. And you have no basis, no tangible evidence and really no right to make these claims in what is otherwise a very well written analysis.

So you can continue to perpetuate the myths and the propaganda..but the facts can not be argued by anyone who is a veteran of Com 5. IM fought a 3 quad vs. 1 quad last round, Severely outnumbered. We did'nt ally up the whole server, our opponents did. As it stands right now...WILD finds themselves in the dominant position, by your own admission, in your own analysis, of enjoying an almost 3 quad vs 1. With Pantheon already hell bent on IM's destruction and pledging support to the Titan alliance that they have planted within the SW with the sole intent of weakening and slowing IM. And with AXIS having no love for IM either, half of the battle for WILD is already being fought by the other two quads.

What remains to be seen is will the mighty WILD pile on with the rest of the quads for an easy win or look to even the odds and make it a fair fight??? Time will tell...time will tell.

From my limited understanding, I believe that AXIS was here to fight WILD, why would they therefore waste their time taking you down when they are here for us?

You may be right. Admittedly, I have a less than limited understanding of Axis myself. I was just going by the comments made by the previous poster that said Axis doesn't like IM either.
