Well, I shared all the splats, so I guess I better share the plans theft as well. Good job catching Boris napping. (ya, it was Boris's fault... ya... Boris.) NightRaveN had been faking for ages and I'm not sure we'd ever seen Kooroosh (who advertises as a defender). Between that and WW fatigue, we just didn't notice the hammer train coming soon enough to do anything about it.

The final level is about to be queued; and our opponents' last hammers are rolling in as I type this. Barring any major surprise, the server will be over at 14:05 server time.

Good work on stealing a couple of WW plans in a reasonably coordinated attempt to stall our progress, but with a maximum of nine out of thirteen plans (now 6), Infamous' March to 100 continues. Some of those hammers would have been better used in the attempt to steal the UA though...

55 armies in the final Infamous attack. A combo of WWKs, ops hammers, and remnants of offensive armies.

Here is every one that caused damage, for your general interest:

    http://travian-reports.net/us/report/127887b7edb - Basse 293K - Wall down to L11, WW L59 to L58
http://travian-reports.net/us/report/1278884b55b - Uglyduck 628K - Wall and WW destroyed (that was our defense's highest point, 5.8 million - not high enough though obv)
http://travian-reports.net/us/report/12789123f6a - Team Chezzara 517K - Clay Pit destroyed (was my favourite one too)
http://travian-reports.net/us/report/127910ec52b - Grumpy Fatso 101K - GW destroyed (L1 one, in case you wondered how that happened)
    http://travian-reports.net/us/report/12791269911 - dlb 58K - GW destroyed (L1 one again)
    http://travian-reports.net/us/report/127913a175a - Shogun 153K - GW destroyed (L1 one again)
    http://travian-reports.net/us/report/127914aa92c - Zmash 145K - GG L19 to L18
http://travian-reports.net/us/report/1278869886f - Doefrijk 181K - WW destroyed (that was our spare one)
http://travian-reports.net/us/report/12791673190 - The Collective 57K - WW L2 destroyed (that was rebuilt one)

7 slow ones still to land, 3 of which land before server end.

    Good game all

A somewhat belated 2 cents coming up from me after the contributions made here from our opponents in bama and skrz.

This server was always going to be an easier ride compared to our previous, we were always the favorites, sure but unfortunately the root cause is the dying popularity of this game as a whole as much as it can be blamed on our opponent's competence. Sorry for the gloomy start, alas it's the sad truth.

This server could have been different. For us, it could have been harder (as David/Lews has opinionated on). But it also could have been much easier. There could have been virtually no experienced leadership in our opposition camps to compound the issue of a lack of strong core of players.

I remember very early on in the server, when Skrz touched base and casually asked if our metas were interested in working alongside each other as we once did in the past a few servers back. Unfortunately I had to politely decline and challenged him to instead fight us and to give us a challenge - knowing he had the leadership and experience to do so. But I also knew that just because he could, did not mean that he would. But he did.

For that, I have even greater respect for Skrz and I'm grateful to him for providing us a challenge, even in the face of going up against formidable opposition in ourselves where it was difficult to see a winning scenario.

Skrz is right when he says that we were lazy in our offensive actions. I take responsibility for that as the OC but I did ensure it did not cost us the server. It was actually lack of motivation due to lack of competition. What a lot of people don't see is the effort needed that goes in to making an Op. I give up my Saturday to choose targets and faking strategy for 50 - 60 hammers, if I am lucky I get my dual Amara to upload to getter while I sleep, Sunday I am setting targetting instructions, writing MM's announcing plans are in, fixing plans issues players tell me about, Monday Fakes MM goes out, Tuesday/Wednesday hits land. Thursday we are meant to gather reports and MM. Don't get me wrong, I love doing this but most when I know it will count for something.

For me to put myself through that level of commitment requires a lot of reward and enjoyment in the end result. My reward is beating and winning against credible opposition. If I can see we will win without the need to go through that process. It defeats the purpose of the sacrifice. In the end, I found more enjoyment in seeing us build the biggest set of WW hammers we have ever built. 3 x 600kers, 4 x 500kers and a raft of 250k+ hammers.

At no point did I feel out of control of the situation in the WW race. We could have ended it very early. We could have wiped the WW villages before the race got started. I already mentioned how we could have 0'd Kaane's lvl 72 WW on the first set of hits, velo was just hours away with titans boots and waiting the command. Again, I saw no point.

When you were in the high 90's, some people in our meta were getting nervous. For me it was all about impact. Let you go as high as you can so we can knock off as much time with the size of hammers we had built ourselves and to give our WW hammers the reward for their hard work of having something meaty to hit.

Wakiza and Yebisu got 0'd because I wanted to give our smaller hammers something exciting to hit (and to splat and convert to anvil), it was never "we must 0 this hammer or we will lose". Knew all along that Wakiza could have been allowed to live and we'd still win, him getting 0'd was just a consequence.

Leading Infamous has always been very easy. And I have sympathy with skrz for not having a comparable set of players who do not need to be told what to do in order to be effective. Most of our WW hammers were not even planned, only Puca and Anomaris were pre-planned monster WW hammers from very early on. Everyone else just knew to keep building siege.

I understand the issue that Bama spoke of in need to persuade everyone like crazy to get behind a planned off action. I experienced some of that in other non-Infamous servers. In Infamous it's the other way round, everyone is shouting at me to put an op in

It's all about trust. I think it was hard to establish a level of trust between yourself and the players partly because we have such great DC's who splat hammers for fun, even though the design of your Offensive operations were much actually better than average from what I see on com these days, but that is not something your members could have known.

Still, was a good fight and thanks for the opposition you have provided. Appreciate the clean server played by all. No drama's to be found in that department here, which is not what can be said for other servers :P

As for myself, will never say never to playing another server, even though it's dying, this game is still a drug. But until the next challenge presents itself, i'll be semi-retiring

    Thanks,

    Dear All,
    Moto here!
Thank you for a great game! This maybe my last server after being an active infamous player from the very start so many servers ago.

It is sad that this game has started to die off, and the gap between the beginners and more advanced players makes it ever harder for players to start...

In past servers i worked with Jadds and used to be an active spy of the infamous team, my job was to join any threatening alliances in the NW, and in the first stages of the game provide intelligence, second stage i would gain leadership control of the team, causing havoc, entering battles, work with other quads...ect( a lot of fun) but insuring no threat to the infamous alliance ... In the later stages we would implement harsh infamous guid lines and build up the noob accounts, essential for WW defense and Resources....
This round non of this was even considered, although i would guess that we had some spy's in other quads? Or am i wrong?

Boris and Natasha and the team went for a clean victory, brute force and good sportsmanship! Which meant that sometimes the Rebel alliance gave us hassles, annoying bunch they are: especially you R00st! I ended up loosing my skirmish hammer around town a few times...5x I had fun!! Thank you guys, it has been an honor... To CreepingD who sends me the odd insulating IGM... I as many of infamous where just part time gold players, i haven't had gold in use for the last three months. We where very motivated for the win and we love the game... Each of us knew our jobs and our team standards... Thats why we won!!
From the worst player of infamous team to the server, have fun!

    Moto
